Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer
   
Job Description

This position will be responsible for leading the development of the Implantable Deep Brain Stimulation leads, extensions and accessories.

   
Responsibilities
  • - Provide input into the creation of system specification 
  • - Create functional specifications for Leads, Extensions and Accessories
  • -Design, prototype and test leads, extensions and accessories
  • - Participate in design reviews for external system components such as patient programmer and external pulse generator
  • - Assist in design of Implantable Pulse Generator including header
  • - Create design drawings and and test plans
  • - Assure compliance of mechanical design activities to Intelect Quality System and associated standards
- Assist and provide guidance to junior mechanical engineers and outside mechanical engineer consultants
   
Basic Qualifications
  • - BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • - Minimum 10 years experience in Implantable Stimulation Leads
  • - Experience with 3D Cad systems
  • - Versed in quality system procedures for medical devices
- Able to read, write, and speak fluent English
   
Preferred Qualifications
  • - Minimum 15 years experience mechanical design
  • - 10 years experience in designing implantable neurostimulation leads
- Prior design experience on Class III Implantable Medical Devices
