This medication is a chemotherapy drug that can slow the growth of cancerous cells in the body. Although it has been shown to be effective at treating various types of cancer, there are some side effects which you should be aware of.

As is the case with most chemotherapy drugs, there is a possibility for side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, joint pain, muscle pain, flushing, drowsiness, dizziness, tingling in the hands or feet and mouth sores. You may also experience temporary hair loss as one of the side effects of Taxol as well. These should be reported to your physician if they become a problem or if they are persistent.

More serious and potentially life-threatening side effects of Taxol may also occur. These include things such, as a slow or irregular heartbeat and a drop in your blood pressure. Allergic reactions have also been seen in some individuals. If you have an allergic reaction to Taxol, you should seek immediate medical attention because it could be a life-threatening emergency. If an allergic reaction occurs when using Taxol, you will never be able to use this drug again.
